Alonzo Mourning is a famous basketball player. He played for the Miami Heat. In his adulthood he was named Legend of all Rookies.

He was born on February 8, 1970. He is 37 years old. His nickname is Zo. He went to Georgetown University. Mourning missed 13 games due to a tore plantar fascia. He also missed 12 games due to a partially torn tendon in his left foot. In his early career he played for the Heat. He went as a free agent in 2003 and the Nets signed for a four year deal. During his career he broke his ankle and gave a kidney transplant to his mom. On November 25, 2003, he retired because of his kidney disease. In 2005, he came back and the Heat signed him back his role as back–up for superstar Shaquille O’ Neal. Because of physical imitations his minutes were reduced but was still a steady contributor. He is playing for the Heat basketball team in Miami Florida. They won the NBA Championship in 2006.
