Amelia Earhart was the first person to fly alone from Honolulu to California. She was a pioneering female pilot who disappeared in the South Pacific.Amelia Earhart was born on July 24, 1897. She was born in Atchison, Kansas. She was engaged to Samuel Chapman and broke the engagement in November 23, 1928. Then found George Putnam on February 7, 1931, but, George Putnam changed his name to Amelia Earhart's last name, Earhart.
By the time she had got two or three hundred feet or more off the ground she said I knew I had to fly. She worked briefly in Boston as a social worker. She also flew planes.
Amelia was famous because she was the first woman to cross the Atlantic by airplane. In 1937, she attempted to fly all the way around the world, but her plane disappeared in the South Pacific ocean. Amelia Earhart is famous for her death.
March 17, 1997, Ms. Finch and a navigator took off from Oakland International Airport. They went to all the way around the world. She died in 1937. Amelia Earhart was the first female to fly across the Atlantic Ocean solo. She was a remarkable woman and a great person. They say she was a strong woman also. Amelia Earhart was born in 1897. She was born in Atchison, Kansas. Her parents’ were lawyers. When she was a teenager she moved with her grandparents. She went to six different high schools. In her 20’s she went to visit her sister in Canada. She was a nurse in [[World War 1I] in Canada. She was also taking flight training.
After that she knew she had to fly. She won four awards and one was a gold medal. Then she sold her plane and moved with her sister. A few years later she moved back to Kansas sold her car she had bought. Then she bought another plane and went on with her career. Twenty-two days before her 40th birthday she and Fred Noonum her partner disappeared. They disappeared some were between New Guinea and Howland Island. She had completed 22,000 miles of flight. They were never seen again.
Amelia Earhart was the first female to fly across the Atlantic Ocean solo. She had a great job and a great life and she also learned from her mistakes. She will always be known as a great pilot.
