Andrew Jackson was born on March 15, 1767, in Lancaster County, South Carolina. He joined The American Revolutionary War when he was 13. He and his brother where captured by the British and taken prisoner. He refused to clean the boots of a British Captain and the captain got really mad.

He was famous in the many wars such as The American Revolutionary War, the Salmoin wars, The Battle of Horseshoe Bend, The War of 1812, and The Battle of New Orleans. He started the Trail of Tears. Jackson was a lawyer. He was the governor of Florida. He was also in the U.S. Senate Andrew Jackson served twice as the 7th president. He ended his Military Career when he was voted into office in 1824. He was re-elected in 1828. He reopened trade with the West Indies. On January 20, 1835, Jackson was almost assassinated by Richard Lawrence. He married Rachel Donetsoh Robards who died less than a mouth before her husband left for Washington D.C., when Jackson was sworn into office. He had eight children. He reopened trade with the West Indies.
Andrew Jackson was the only president to be a prisoner of war. He was captured in The American Revolutionary War and was a veteran of that war. He is on the $20 bill. He also was the first president to ride a train. He has been on the $10,000 bill, $10, $5, and the Confederate $1,000.He died in 1845 at a heritage.
