Aruba is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Aruba is a 21 mi long island of the Lesser Antilles. Aruba is in the southern Caribbean Sea. Aruba 17 mi is north of the Paraguaná Peninsula, Falcón State and Venezuela. The capital and largest city is Oranjestad. The monarch of Aruba is Queen Beatrix and the governor is Fredis Refunjol. The prime minister is Nelson O. Oduber and the vice-prime is Minister Marisol Lopez-Tromp. The Per capita of Aruba is $23,831.

Geography

Area of Aruba is 74.5 sq mi. Aruba is a mostly flat, river less island. Aruba is know for its white, sandy beaches on the southern and western coasts of the island which are sheltered from fierce ocean currents. Although the eastern and northern coasts, is lacking this protection. This side is considerably battered by the sea and has been left largely untouched by humans. The island features some rolling hills. Aruba is located in Central America. The climate of Aruba is mostly tropical marine and with little seasonal temperature variation. Aruba lies outside the Caribbean hurricane belt.
