When Benjamin Franklin was twelve years old he had a choice to either be an apprentice or play the violin. His dad encouraged him to work as an apprentice, so he decided to be an apprentice. Ben Franklin signed a slip saying that he will be an apprentice until he was twenty-one. Since he signed the slip he had to do some traveling to get to his brother's house, so he had to take a canoe down to Philadelphia. When he got there he had to ask where his brother lived. When he finally got there, his brother, sent him straight to work. When Ben Franklin did something wrong he would get a beat on by his brother, James. Ben could not take it any more so, he ran away to his house where he used to live. Ben was still really mad so he got back at him. So Ben started act like a girl and started writing to his brother, James. Ben wrote just four letters, then he got tired of it, so he confessed to his brother. Time flew by very quick when Ben was twenty-one he moved out of his brother's house and started working as a printer. He even had his own printer shop too. He was twenty-four when he married his wife, Deborah. Ben had two children and one coming on the way. One of his children's names was Billy the other one was Sara. A couple years have past and Ben was really busy, so his wife started to help him. One day, Ben got a letter from the president saying that the Indians are going to have a war. The president wanted Benjamin to fix it and Ben did. It took Ben a while for him to find the Indians. When Benjamin thought that he had helped the Indians, but when he left the Indians had a plan to fight. When the president told Franklin that the Indians were going to fight. Ben went back to talk to the Indians, it took them a little while to give in but during that time he had he got a letter saying that his wife died! Ben knew that she was sick but he did not know she was sick enough to die, so he went back to Philadelphia. When his wife died she had the baby so he had to take care of the baby. The baby got sick and Ben had to stop working to take care of the baby. The baby was so sick that the baby died too. Few months had passed since the baby has died so, he finally started to work again. Ben was in his printer room working and he got a letter again saying the president needed help. The president did not tell Ben why he needed help, so he sent a letter back declining his help for the president. Years have past now and Ben is now seventy-five, and Ben is sick but not really sick (well that’s what Ben thought). Few months had passed for Ben and he was getting worse by the minute because of his sickness. Months have passed and Ben is still sick, well one night he was very tired, so he went to sleep. It is said that he died during his sleep, he died at the age of eighty-four, on April 17,1790.
