The blue jays live in the eastern side of
North America. They like to eat acorns, grain, fruit, beech mast, weed seeds, peanuts, and different kinds of berries. The blue jay is a herbivore. It's about 11 to 12 inches wide. The color of the bird is black and white, has black on the wings and eyes, a black beak and black feet. The wings are also lavender blue. Blue jays come from eggs. Female blue jays lay up to 4 to 5 eggs. Four interesting facts about blue jays are, Prince Edward Island, gave the name to Toronto Blue Jays Baseball team, the blue jay binomial name is Cyanocitta Christata, they have a gulf -like scream, and if one of their feathers gets crushed the lavender blue-ness will go away.
