Skeletal System

Ligaments are bendable joints that hold bones together.

The framework of your body is your Skeletal System.

You stop growing when your about 20 years old.

Bone marrow helps make thousands of red blood cells.

Staying active and getting plenty of calcium keeps your bones strong.

A soft tissue in the middle of your bones is bone marrow.


Muscular System

Our heart is an involuntary muscle.

Muscles grow thicker and firmer as you grow older.

Two muscles can work together to work and relax.


Nervous System

Your brain is like a big machine.

The cerebellum controls your muscles.

The spinal cord is involved in all census.

The spinal cord and brain work together.

Your nervous system does more than tell you if something hurts.

The medulla, cerebrum, and the cerebellum all work together to keep you up and going.

To keep your nervous system together wear your seatbelt and wear pads during sports.

Digestive System

Digestion starts in your mouth.

It is good to eat a lot of fiber.

Juices from the Digestive System in the stomach breaks down food.

Villi moves Digestive food into your bloodstream by absorbing it.

Your body does not digest everything you eat.

Circulatory System

Don't smoke or chew tobacco!!

Don't eat to much fatting or oily foods.

Exercise every day.

Your heart weighs 10-11 ounces.

Your heart muscles has four parts.

Blood pumps throughout your body.

Respiratory System

Get plenty of exercise.

Your Respiratory System helps your body use air.

When you exhale Carbon Dioxide leaves your body.

The "Trachea" and "Bronchi" carry air to the lungs.

Don't smoke.

Endocrine System

Responsible for puberty.

To take care of your system get daily regular checkups.

A person's growth and height are affected by hormone.

A person's puberty is when the body reproduces.
