This is a photography of Buffalo Bill
William Frederick "Buffalo Bill" Cody was born in the Iowa Territory which is now the American state of
Iowa, near Le Claire. On February 26,
1846 Bill was born to Isaac Cody and his wife Mary Ann Bonsell Laycock. Buffalo Bill started riding
horses when he was five years old. He went on a ride with his cousin Horace Cody to get escaped military horses. The colonel said he would pay ten dollars for each one they found. Then they saw a
prairie dog "farm". They saw a horse in a hole that is about 14 feet deep a horse had it's foot in it. The horse's foot was broken so Horace had to shoot it (it was helpless).
