Chuck Berry is famous for singing "Rock and Roll" songs. Some people consider him the "Father of Rock and Roll". He was known as “The Ville". "Chuck Berry was born on October 18, 1926, in St. Louis, Missouri. Chuck Berry's full real name is Charles Edward Anderson "Chuck" Berry. He grew up in a family of six. Chuck Berry got arrested for threatening a guy with a gun that would not work. Before he graduated he got arrested for going on a joy ride with his friends and attempted in burglary. He made his first public performance when he was still in high school. Chuck Berry played the blues. He also wrote a chess record. He also wrote a song called “My Ding-a-ling.” He sang in the Rockin” Roll Hall of Fame. Chuck Berry sang 70 songs. Chuck Berry wrote fifty-three songs by himself.
