Putting the rain gauge together
CocoRaHs is a program were you can help give the weather information to the National Weather Service to help them write the script for the
weather report. Here at
Southwood Elementary Mr. Miller's 5th grade homeroom class is helping with reporting the weather to the National Weather Service. These are the steps that we go though every morning.
- 1. We bring in the rain gauge to see how much rain we got over 24 hours.
- 2. After that we post it on the website.
- 3. Then we take the rain gauge back outside, but before we take it out we have to dry the gauge out so that we don't think the next morning that we got more rain then we really did. Those are the steps that we have to go threw to report the rain gauge.
