Delaware is our 1st state and it was founded on December 7 of 1787. Delaware's capital is Dover. Delaware's state flower is the Peach Blossom and the state tree is the American Holly. The state bird is the Blue Hen Chicken. The state fish is the Weakfish. The state's nicknames are "The First State", "The Diamond State", the "Small Wonder", and the "Blue Hen State". Did you know... that the first colonial rebellion against the British government took place in Delaware.
