Don Knotts is famous for all the films he played in, he played in over 20 different films in his life. Don Knotts is a famous actor and he was a guest on the Andy Griffith show.

He was born on July 21, 1924, in Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born as Jesse Donald Knotts. Knotts grew up poor with three older brothers. One of his brothers was so thin that they called him Shadow.

He was in the teens when he first started to act. Knotts developed a ventriloquist routine alongside a dummy named Danny. He also enlisted in the US army as an entertainer. Some of the reasons he is famous are for is appearing on the Andy Griffith Show, and he played in Scooby Doo. He also played in the movie Herby goes to Monte Carlo. He also played in over 20 films.

Some other interesting facts are he died February 24, 2006 at the age of 81, in Los Angeles, California. He also played as Barney. The reasons he is famous are because he played over 20 different films and one of them is in an episode of Scooby.
