Ester Pauline Friedman Lederer “Ann Landers” was known for her syndicated advice column. She helped the people that wrote in to her advice column solve their problems.

Ann Landers was born on July 4, 1918, in Sioux, Iowa. She was born to Abraham and Rebecca Friedman. She was the third of four children in her family. She also was a twin to Abigail Van Buren; she had an advice column called,” Dear Abby.” She has won two awards that I know of. One of her awards was the Albert Lasker Public Service Award in 1985. She also got Editor’s Hall of Fame in 2001. Ann Landers was married to Jules W. Lederer who was a business executive. She and her husband gave birth to a daughter which they named Margo. They were married for 36 years and then they got divorced. Ann Landers was a very healthy woman, but she died of a multiple myeloma. She was 83 years old when she died in 2002. Ester Pauline Lederer also known as Ann Landers was known for her syndicated advice column. Ann helped the people that wrote in to her advice column try to solve their problems.
