Frank Lloyd Wright was born June 8, 1867, in Richland Center, Wisconsin. He and his family moved from place to place, but they finally settled at a farm in Wisconsin. Frank’s mother bought him geometrical shaped blocks when he was young. He played with those blocks and visualized how things would be.
Most people thought Frank was a genius because of his modern day ideas. Frank Lloyd Wright died a few months before the Guggenheim finished. He helped design the Guggenheim. The Guggenheim museum was recognized as one of the WORLD’S greatest landmarks.
Frank’s real name is Frank Lincoln Wright. Frank loved collecting Japanese art. He was generally accepted as the greatest architect America has ever produced. He designed a lot of buildings.
Frank Lloyd Wright was a famous architect. He died April 9, 1959, in Phoenix, Arizona. He made organic architecture and a building style based on natural forms.
