Frogs are called Amphibians.Frogs can live in water and on land. When a frog senses danger it hops away or if near a pond it will hop into the water. When it is winter frogs dig in the ground for hibernation. When it is warm they will dig out of the ground. Then it is mating season. A male frog bellows a loud croak to attract the female frog. The female frog doesn't have her babies alive she has them in eggs. The female frog doesn't have such a low croak. Frogs like to eat bugs around a pond, creek, or a lake. When the baby frogs hatch they are not frogs they are tadpoles and they have tails in stead of legs and feet. They still swim around but very close to their home. Frogs are fun pets to have but if you have a male and a female together and they have babies and the mother frog has nowhere to lay the eggs then you have to let them lose because then they have a deep enough and the mother will have something to lay the eggs on and it would probably be like a stick or some seaweed in the lake, pond, or creek. But the eggs don't fall off of the stick or seaweed it will stick to it.
