George Thorogood is famous for singing. He sold over 15 million albums. He sang "Blues Rock" for 25 years.

George Thorogood was born in December 31, 1950, in Baton Roughe, Louisiana. He grew up in Wilmington, Delaware. George Thorogood is 55 and He still lives there today. He discovered his interest in music while playing semi-professional baseball. Earlier in his musical career, he took time off during the baseball season. His music was inspired by Elmore James, Hounddog Taylor, and Chuck Berry.

"The Destroyers", his band, was formed in Wilmington, Delaware. In 1977, they released their debut album George Thorogood and "The Destroyers". The group sold more than 100,000 thousand copies. It was the top selling record that "Rounder Records" had released at the time.

George’s favorite baseball team is the Mets. He was once interviewed by "Sports" magazine. He still makes music today.
