Georgia is the 4th state and was founded in January 2 of 1788. Georgia's capital is Atlanta. Georgia's state flower is the Cherokee Rose and the state tree is the Live Oak. The state bird is the Brown Thrasher. The state fish is the Largemouth Bass. The state's nickname are "The Peach State", "The Goober State" and the "Empire State of the South". Did you know... that the Okefenokee Swamp is the home to 12,000 alligators.
