Guzton Borglum is a famous for sculptors. One of his most famous sculptors was Mt. Rushmore. Gutzon was born March 25, 1867, in Feretory Idaho. He was the son of Danish immigrants.When Guzton was young he went to San Francisco, and enrolled in Mark Hopkins Art Institute. He was trained in Paris at the Academy Julian. Gutzon Borglum graduated from Creighton Preparatory school. The United Daughters of The Confederacy asked Gutzon if he would crave a seventy foot carving of Robert E. Lee, on the side of the Mountain rook face at the age of seven he moved to Nebraska.
Gutzon Borglum is famous for famous sculptors like Mt. Rushmore, and the sculptor of James R. Mc. Connell, who was killed in World War 1 while flying for the Lafayette Escadrille.
Some of the interesting things about Gutzon Borglum are that he liked to make things bigger in size, like the six ton block of marble that has Lincoln’s head caved in it.
