How to Make a Piece of Graphite Float

What Do I Need?

The first thing you need to do is get four neodymium magnets, a piece of paralytic graphite, or you could just go out and buy yourself a Diamagnetic Levitation Kit. Then you need to read the instructions below:

Instructions

  • 1. Take the magnets and put them together according to the picture below.

  • 2. Put the piece of pyrolytic graphite on top of the center of the four neodymium magnets.
  • 3. Watch it float!
