Michael Jeffrey Jordan is a retired, professional, basketball player. He is considered the best basketball player in basketball history. Even though he’s considered the best basketball player in history, he still got cut on a tenth grade basketball team. Michael Jordan also played baseball, football, and golf. He is also famous for being an amateur gold medallist in the Olympics.

Mr. Jordan was born in Brooklyn, New York, on February 17, 1963. He was born to Delores and James Jordan. He went to Task Junior High School. He was the fourth of the five children. He had two brothers and two sisters. He went to the North Carolina University. While his family put all their energy in work, he put his energy in two sports; basketball and baseball. He played baseball in the minor leagues when he was young. Mr. Jordan was magnificent at everything when it came to basketball, but he was fantastic when it came to leaping. Mr. Jordan was made for basketball and proved it by leading the Bulls to six victorious NBA championships. Mr. Jordan was very good about practice. He shoots one thousand free throws every day. He also donated one million dollars to all relief efforts. His number was 23. He was a well-liked player and won NBA’s most valuable player five times. In 1993, he retired from basketball for pro baseball. He played until 1994 for the Birmingham Barons and then returned to the Bulls until 2003. He then retired for good. Mr. Jordan is retired now, but basketball for him still lives on for him. He is still considered the greatest basketball player ever and the Bulls were sad to see him go. His son, Jeffrey Jordan plays for Illinois basketball.
