Nebraska is our 37th state and was founded in March 1 of 1867. Nebraska's capital is Lincoln. Nebraska's state flower is the Goldenrod and the state tree is the Cottonwood. The state bird is the Western Meadowlark. Nebraska's nicknames are "The Cornhusker State", the "Beef State", and the "Tree Planter State". Did you know... that farms and ranches take up 96% of Nebraska's land.
