The Nine-banded Armadillo lives in North America mostly in southeastern, but they live in a small part of Mexico. This kind of Armadillo lives mainly in woodlands, brushy areas, and farmlands. The female has four of the same sex of babies through March and April. The female lays eggs. The Armadillo is about the size of a small cat. They are omnivorous. (They eat both plant and meat.) This is what they mostly eat roots around in damp and moist leaves. They do not hibernate. Armadillo's live up to 10 to 14 years. Armadillo's have a grayish black armor to protect them although their nose still pink. Any kind of armadillo is a mammal. When it feels in danger it curls up into a ball so what ever is trying to kill it won't. That is why there's arm in Armadillo. It is endangered because people like the skin or armor. We are the predators to them. We mostly just don't care and run over them with our cars.
