US President Article Standards
From Wiki 5A
This represents the following standards we will hold and apply to all articles written about famous people. These were created and adopted by the class of 2007/2008 on March 27, 2008.
All articles written about famous people should:
- contain facts, not opinions
- contain the name of the president
- contain the birth place of the president
- contain the birth date of the president
- contain family members (parents, siblings, etc) when applicable
- contain the death date of the president (when applicable)
- contain the death place of the president (when applicable)
- contain the age of the president at the time of death (when applicable)
- contain when the president served
- contain what party that president ran for
- contain information about the education (college, etc)
- contain a majority of information about their career
- contain information that lists their accomplishments
- contain a picture
- List where you found information (sources)
- Needs to link to other articles (wikify)
If it is found that an article submitted to Wiki 5A does not contain the above information, we will tag the page. This will place a large sign on the page that indicates the article does not meet the standards created by us. At that time, any member of Wiki 5A may edit the page to include the needed information. We will not delete the article.
Should you come across an article that does not meet the basic requirements found above, edit the article, copy and then paste the following into that article:
{{NotStandard}}
